Our Story

Dr. Chelsey Bell grew up here in Central Missouri where she developed the passion of caring for animals at a young age. She graduated from Camdenton High School in 2010 then moved on to the University of Central Missouri to start her college career. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in 2014, she started her study of veterinary medicine at the University of Missouri. During her veterinary schooling, Dr. Bell did additional study and elective work in areas of equine medicine and lameness. After graduating from vet school in 2018, Dr. Bell worked for Quail Valley Veterinary Clinic in Jefferson City Missouri for 4 years where she was able to continue her interests in equine medicine and lameness. In addition to providing equine services, Dr. Bell continues to care for small animal patients at Osage Animal Hospital in Osage Beach Missouri.

Dr. Bell and her husband Brandon own and operate Rural Equine Veterinary Services together in addition to caring for their own hobby farm and their son Jackson. Their farm includes a menagerie of horses, dogs, and even a cat. They enjoy many outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, camping, kayaking, and off roading with their UTV. They especially enjoy camping, trail riding their horses, and exploring nature “between the ears”.
